Oh boy, are we excited about okra here. Gaining in popularity, this is a fun crop to grow, showcasing flowers for a few short hours, before turning into a 5-6” okra in a matter of a day or two. A Southern delicacy, these are great raw with a little bit of oil, salt, and pepper, or fried as a comfort food.

Root crops provide a lovely amount of sugary starch to your dishes, and can be available from early spring, to late fall or even winter!

When raw, carrots offer a delectable amount of snap to salads and appetizers and go well with an abundance of sauces. As a cooked vegetable, they can round out soups and stand on their own as a generously sweet side. We are growing a wide variety of sizes, shapes, and colors for carrots this year.

Our variety of Halblange Weisse offers a thick top with quickly tapering roots and are noted for their abundance of greens. Utilize all of this root crop from the leaves to the root for a variety of dishes where you want to add a well-balanced, creamy starch.

One of the quickest growing crops out there, radishes can be grown throughout the entire season and can offer a harvest within two weeks of seeding in the peak of the season. With a bright amount of spiciness, radishes can brighten up salads and offer complex flavor when pickled.

Onions are a favorite of many because of their sheer amount of versatility in the kitchen, providing all kinds of flavor to any dish.

Perhaps the one crop offering the most variety, we have been sure to select a wonderful mix of tomatoes to round-out your entire summer. Eat them fresh, pulverize them into a sauce, cook them into soup, add them to salads, or freeze them for later, tomatoes are perhaps the one thing people look forward to the most come summer time.
